TagCloud vs Categories?

Simple question, I have just discovered //engtechs TagCloud and I quite like it. Both the TagCloud and the standard categories are in the sidebar at the moment.

The disadvantages with the TagCloud are that I’d have to run it every now and then [process takes about a minute], as it doesn’t update automatically and it doesn’t look as tidy as the standard category view. It is highly customisable though, from colour to font size and so on.

What do you think? TagCloud or the traditional Categories?

I’d go for the Categories coz I’m a neat freak…. and it has part of your name in it too! :)

Haha, a good enough reason if any I suppose! LOL.

The way I’d do it is put the tag cloud on its own page an only update it every 1-2 months.

Yeah, I saw that on your blog. I’m not too sure what to do with it yet. I absolutely love what you’ve done [was actually just about to stop by your blog about that!], I just need to find a way to integrate it.

I’ve removed it from the sidebar though and it does durrently have it’s own page.

I love the tag cloud. Might steal the idea. Sorry .

Not a problem, Sha. Head over to //engtech and download it. Direct Link.

I briefly had it in my sidebar, but for now it’s got it’s own page.
