Luciano Pavarotti, 1935 – 2007

Not many people I know like classical music and if they do they don’t like Opera. In fact, coming to think of it now, I can’t think of anyone that likes Opera.

I’ve always thought that the 3 Tenors were amazing and I loved watching some of their performances, even though I was never able to see them live, just on TV.

Following his death in the early hours of this morning, there have been quite a few clips being shown of him performing and it’s just amazing on how he managed to have such an amazing voice.

This clip his him singing one of my favourite classical songs, ‘Ave Maria‘ by Schubert, which some may recognise as the music used in the game Hitman.

He was a truly exceptional artist. Rest in Peace.

It was a sad day when he died. My mother was close to tears when she heard the news as he is/was one of her favourite singers.

Yeah, he really was someone else. There have been so many clips shown on TV of his concerts and just imagining that he’s done it for such a long time….

Did you read the latest reports on his will? Seems like his second wife got cut out.

  4. Cat says:

    No, I didn’t?

I do remember a lot of controversy regarding his personal life over the years. Something about young wives, being a dad at very old age and so on.

Another one came out, something about under Italian law that his wife will get a 25% cut. But it’s now emerged apparently she “tortured” him whilst he was on his deathbed.

  6. Cat says:

    Tortured him? How?!
